Website redesign
Your website is old. That’s costing you calls.
Same $1,200, and you keep your domain, your email and your search history. I carry over anything worth keeping so you aren’t retyping your own business from scratch.
Signs it’s time
You already know. This is just the list.
- It looks wrong on a phone, or you have to pinch to read it
- It takes more than three seconds to load
- The hours, prices or staff on it are out of date
- Whoever built it has stopped answering you
- It was built on a platform you no longer pay for
- You’re embarrassed to hand out the address
The single biggest worry people have about replacing a website is losing what the old one built up. You won’t. Your domain stays yours, your existing pages get redirected properly so Google keeps what it already knows about you, and your email keeps working through the switch.
The second worry is having to supply everything again. You don’t. I go through what you already have, pull across the parts that are still true, rewrite the parts that aren’t, and ask you about the gaps. For most redesigns that’s one conversation, not a homework assignment.
And if you’re locked out of your own domain because whoever built the old site registered it under their account, tell me. It’s more common than it should be, it’s fixable, and I’ll walk you through getting it back — whether or not you end up hiring me.

The work
A real site for a real business, live right now.
Lambent is new, so I won’t show you a wall of logos I don’t have. This is what I’ve built — open it and judge it yourself.
Questions
What people worry about before switching.
Will I lose my Google rankings?
Not if the move is done properly. Your domain stays the same, and the old addresses get redirected to the matching new ones so the history carries over. Rankings usually wobble for a week or two after any redesign and then settle. Losing them outright happens when someone skips the redirects.
Will my email stop working?
No. Email and the website are separate services on the same domain. I change where the website points without touching your mail records. If anything about your setup makes that risky, I’ll tell you before we start rather than after.
What if I don’t have the logins for my old site?
Very common. Bring whatever you do have — the domain, an old invoice, the name of the company who built it — and we work out what’s recoverable. In the worst case we can rebuild on your domain without ever getting into the old account.
