What I do with your information.

Short version: the forms send me your details so I can reply to you, and Google Analytics counts visits so I can see what’s working. I don’t sell anything, and there are no advertising pixels on this site.

What gets collected

Only what you type into a form:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number, if you give it
  • Your business name, if you give it
  • Your website address, on the audit form
  • Whatever you write in the message box

There are no accounts, no logins and no payment details on this site. Nothing is collected from you just for reading a page.

Where it goes

Form submissions pass through Formspree, a service that receives the form and forwards it to my email inbox. Formspree keeps a copy on their servers under their own privacy policy, at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.

From there it sits in my email, which is a Google account. That's the whole path.

What I do with it

I reply to you. If you become a client, I keep your details for as long as I'm working with you and afterwards for my own business records.

I don't sell, rent or share your information with anyone, and I don't add you to a mailing list. You will never get a marketing email from me that you didn't ask for.

Counting visits

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits: how many people come, which pages they read, roughly where they are (to the city), what kind of device they use, and whether they send a form, tap the phone number or click to book a call. That’s how I see what’s working. Every site I build for clients gets the same setup, because measured results are how a small business knows its website is earning its keep.

It doesn’t record who you are. Google Analytics 4 doesn’t log or store IP addresses, Google’s advertising features are switched off, and none of it is used to show you ads. Visit data is kept for up to 14 months and then deleted automatically.

Google Analytics sets two small first-party cookies — _ga and one that starts _ga_ — so it can tell a returning visitor from a new one. There are no advertising pixels, no Facebook tracker and no third-party advertising cookies.

Don’t want to be counted? Google’s opt-out browser add-on or any content blocker stops it, and the site works exactly the same.

The outside services this site talks to: Google Fonts for the typefaces, Google Analytics for counting visits, Formspree when you send a form, and Cal.com only if you click to book a call.

Getting it deleted

Email me at [email protected] and ask, and I'll delete what I have. No forms, no process, no questions about why.

Children

This is a service for businesses. It isn't directed at children and I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes

If this changes, I'll update this page and change the date below.
